School Clubs and Academics

Best Buddies, Co-President

I have participated since freshman year due to my interest in children’s well being. The club focuses on developing meaningful relationships with our buddies from a partner school as well as fundraising for the organization. Our buddies are students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I enjoy organizing activities (now virtual) for the buddies who visit our school and have lunch with the club members.

Intersectional Feminist Alliance (IFA)

I have been a part of this club since freshman year. We discuss topics from what the school environment is like for students with different identities, to reviewing current events that connect to feminism.

Erasmus Society

An honors society exclusive to my school. The society is comprised of students who are elected by teachers as early as their sophomore year who demonstrate genuine intellectual curiosity. I was selected my sophomore year.

Languages

English (Fluent), Spanish (Fluent), French (Proficient)

I am enjoying being a Spanish Teacher Assistant helping Novice-High Upper school students with conversational and grammar skills.

Girls Who Code, Co-Head

I started serving as a co-head my junior year and joined my freshman year. I learned that being brave is better than being perfect, that sisterhood can come from unexpected niches, and that making a mistake simply means that you are on the path of something great. Main responsibilities are to plan weekly meetings about the CS field, invite speakers as well as lead, mentor and motivate club members.

Latin American Student Organization (LASO)

I have been a member of the LASO since freshman year. It has given me the opportunity to connect with others that share a similar identity with me.

Student Academic Board

Selected by my teachers since freshman year to become a member. Discussed academic changes that should or should not occur within our school. SAB has taught me the importance of including all voices in discussions that impact our community.

Princeton Model Congress

During junior year, I attended PMC in Washington, D.C. I was assigned to the International Relations House Committee. Really interesting experience.
